SEE: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Decision Over Rashford And Lukaku Ahead Of Spurs Clash
The Red Devils come into Sunday's
game in top form
Manchester United star Romelu
Lukaku looks set to start Sunday's game against Spurs on the bench.
The ex-Everton man has had a frustrating
start to the season at Old Trafford but he has turned the corner in recent
weeks following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's appointment as boss.
According to the Daily Star , the
club legend, who replaced Jose Mourinho in the hosteat last month, has decided
that Marcus Rashford is now the club's No.1 striker.
The England international would
often be utilised out wide by the Portuguese boss but it has now been reported
that Solskjaer has told the youngster he wants him playing centrally.
That means that he will more than
likely start upfront against the Lilywhites at Wembley this weekend, with
Lukaku having to make do with a place on the substitutes' bench.
The Belgian international has scored in his
last three games for United, with his strikes against Bournemouth and Newcastle
United coming after he was introduced in the second half.
If he does
indeed start on the sidelines against Mauricio Pochettino's side, Toby
Alderweireld is well aware of the threat he possesses if he comes on.
"He scores so many goals all
the time that people get used to it," said the centre-back, as reported by
the Independent .
"If for a period he does not score or
things do not go his way, of course, he plays for a big team in the Premier
League so everybody expects a lot of him.
"But he is coming back to form. He is an
unbelievable striker.
"I have played with him in the national
team for a couple of years and he is a great person, too."
