MANCHESTER UNITED
goalkeeper David De Gea is reportedly shocked at Jose Mourinho for pouring
doubt over his Old Trafford future.
Manchester United star De Gea is wanted by Juventus and
PSG with his long-term future at the club far from certain.
The Spain international is, though,
one of the most important players at Old Trafford and has been a shining light
amid a difficult few years since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013.

De Gea’s current Manchester United contract expires at the end of
the season, though the Red Devils have the option to trigger a one-year
extension.
And Sport say De Gea is ready to commit his
future to the club by signing a deal that will tie him to the club until 2020.
However, he is reportedly shocked by comments made by
Mourinho about his situation.
The Manchester United manager was quizzed on De Gea’s future
before their 2-1 Premier League victory over Everton.
"I am not confident," he
told Sky Sports.
"I cannot find the word in
English, but let's see what happens.
"Only the club, David and his
people can answer that.
“My comment is only that everyone knows how good he is,
how important he is for Manchester United and, if the club want to be better
than it is and not worse, obviously it would be very important to keep
David."
De Gea has been a regular for United
since signing from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
However, he wants guarantees before
signing on for the long term.
Speaking recently, the Spain
international bemoaned United’s failure to start games on the front foot.
“I don't think it's been our finest
season. We have to be realistic,” De Gea told Sky Sports.
“The team has produced some good performances, while
others haven't been so good. I think at times we've been relying on moments of
brilliance from our attacking players.
“We haven't been 100 per cent solid
defensively. We are improving, but I think we have to improve in all areas.
“It's true that it seems we need to
concede for the team to react, attack and create chances. I don't know the
reason why. We have to control games, create chances and improve from the
start.
“We have to improve in every area. We
have to look up, get some victories, put together four or five wins on the
bounce and get ourselves up the table.”
“I don't think it's been our finest
season. We have to be realistic,” De Gea told Sky Sports.
